Preston; (adjective) miserable as fook during summer series

we've only had one good dose of race weather there and that was the winter race 28th sept. its a track that can handle a bit of rain, its all good fun at the end of the day, manchester is a different story, i was nearly cryin

HEYWOOD BMX should be racing too if he can make it, so I'm bringing a spare bike!!

Creamy has done his shoulder in again, so he is doubtful!!

So if HEYWOOD turns up and Creamy does not then it still makes 31 riders!!

Just a warning, the old school legal bike police will be in full force for this meeting . The rules are 1" headsets and caliper brakes , definitely no lugged bikes even if they are not used .

Just a heads up then you wont be shocked when moley kicks you off the gate.

Just to remind everyone!!

1" Threaded headset and Forks and Caliper mounted brake ONLY

A caliper mounted pitbull brake is allowed but no Canti attached brake is allowed (even on 1986 Haro Group One RS1's).

We usually let bikes slide through in the Northern Region because its just a laff. But with money and trophies at stake plus we are trying to get this event into magazines..............only legal bikes are allowed.

If you have any problems then LMK now and I'll try and sort out a legal ride for you.

Unless you want to share a bike between 2 riders (which is a ball ache)!!

If anyone has any trouble with their builds then speak up now before its too late!!

We have built bikes on the morning of a race, so nothing is beyond our capabilities!!

If you need help then make sure your at Preston early.

Sign in before 11am

Racing will start around 12:30

The Tartan army is coming down in force!!

Lets show them how we do it............Northern Monkey style!!!

No Modifications (i.e drilling a hole to make it a caliper mount frame) are allowed!!

If its an early lugged frame like a Haro Group One and your using a caliper brake then its okay (as per Alan Woods rules).

If its a early-mid 90's frame n forks then some research might be needed to see if its legal or not!!

If you think your Frame is suspect then LMK now or have it be judged by your peers at Preston and risk the embarrassment of being shunned!!!

NO Silver BCF Membership. NO Race

Any Illegal OS Riders and non-silver BCF Members will have to race NOVICE class. And I shall laff at you!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
