Is anybody else who decides to race going to be called sandbaggers?

I dont mind sandbaggers.  I'll get beat anyway, so I dont give a fook who it is!!

But their rides have to be OS legal!!!

Letting Ade ride at Crewe is alright at a normal regional and its not like Ade turned up to race (we had to force the ginger nutter to race!!!)   :LolLolLolLol:

But as this is a showcase for OS then the bikes have to be legal, especially with prize money and trophies at stake!

Even if you roll around at the back of the pack!!

So if anyone turns up with an obvious Canti sawn-off BMX then they should'nt be allowed to race.

The finishing line is next to the start.   If they want to race then people will have to time-share their bikes and the delay between races wont be too much.

Hopefully there wont be many who need to do this (if any).

I'll try and get a few spare OS bikes ready.   Only problem is transporting them to Preston on the day!!

My license arrived today, so instead of being barely legal, I'm completely up for getting shagged into lastish!

Oh and Haro 82, I run #84... perhaps you should run #82?

Also moley, is my bike OS enough?

Dan-Dare would say your ride is New School!!   :LolLolLolLol:

Dont worry about plates, we'll sort it out!!

Somebody will have to become 184!!

Fight between yourselves to decide!!  >:D

Are we gonna have scutineering like the good old days too? cool!  :D
Will get my entries together tomoz.

All the riders do the scrutineering!!

Just remember the rules........

1" threaded headset and forks and a caliper mounted brake.

A pitbull is okay as it mounts through the Caliper mount.

No Cantis and definitely no modifications to a bike to remove the cantis.

Basically any bike after 1995 (and about 1993 for all the popular makes) are not OS legal.    You might find an obscure make after 1995 that is okay though.

Canti's came in on GT's around 93 about the same time 1 1/8th headsets did too.   And most of the other makes did the same.

So you have a lot of choice in the style and size of bikes on offer, so there really is no excuse for turning up on a NS with the canti's cut off.

And dont forget.  This is not a 20" race.  Its Old School.  24" that are OS legal can race too!!!  :daumenhoch:

While I'd like the biggest gate EVER.  I think we have to be fair.

Everyone in the North Region who races OS knows which bikes are acceptable, which are slightly pushing the boundaries and which have totally exceeded it.

We wouldn't turn anyone away at a normal regional if they only had a NS bike to race but this is different.

If we get this into magazines then it should be above board and beyond reproach!!

If you know people who want to race but haven't got bikes then they can be accommodated!!

I'm willing to timeshare my 3 spare OS rides and the delay between gates shouldn't impact the racing.

If anyone needs parts or assistance to finish their builds then post here and we'll try and help you!!

Dont forget your BCF Silver License and please remember the rules for clothing and safety gear too or you wont be  allowed to race!!   :daumenhoch:
