Torker help please ?
« on: April 22, 2009, 11:59 AM »
I know nothing much about Torker's, so am after some help with this one....

It's a Torker 200 Magnum ??...Ive had a shifty on Google but cant come up with anything ??

Does anyone know what years these were made, if the were completes or F/F, what to look out for etc, and value for the build in the pics  ??

Any help would be great, thanks in advance  :daumenhoch:

That looks like a out the box 280/280X with some frame standers fitted, 1984/85ish, looks a nice standard bike, at a guess should fetch £350-£400 as it is

I'm  not 100%  but i think it was a complete bike, looks amazingly similar to my 280 of 83/84. Its been advertised on ebay and elsewhere for a while, not sure why it hasn't gone as it looks like a good condition unmolested original bike. Pic of mine was just after i got it from Alans, changed the tyres from IRC 2.125/1.75 and added the bottom bracket boot but thats it

again its been a while so don't  quote me but i'm sure one of the mags did a test on it at the time, probably worth asking about it on the old school race section too.
One last thing, if you buy it, do us all a favour and put those bloody bars at a proper angle!

They were sold as completes, I had one as a kid. Sure mine had a round hole gussett. Mine was stolen. I have a collector's card some where will take pic and post later. Think the only add on on that one is the frame stands at the rear.
