Please give my Dirt Bike a good home
« on: April 15, 2009, 10:45 AM »
Apologies if this is frowned upon (please feel free to slap my wrists and delete) - but my lovely S&M Dirt Bike mid school resto project is now up on ebay and I'd love to see someone from here give it a good home, especially in view of the help from you folks.  My mtb is costing me far too much cash at the mo' hence the sale and my knee still hasn't recovered from the 'bowl incident'  ::) .  It's far too good just to look at and deserves to be ridden.

Cheers!

what sort of dirtbike is it?

1" threaded or A-head oversized?
2 drop outs stuck together or one thick one?
U brake or mountless?

It's a 1 1/8" oversized Alex - 1995 I think. 6mm thick dropouts and chainstay U brake mounts (also has seat brace drilling for caliper).  I'd post the link but not sure if that's the right thing to do or not.  Easy enough to find on ebay though  ;)

Yep that's the one - a lot cleaner now though (that was it's only ride in anger  :-[ ) and sporting a nice new S&M chainwheel.

I have a few watchers so I'll let it run.  It's priced to sell though with no reserve so I'll let it go whatever happens (and no doubt regret it a few weeks down the line and be back on here after another  ;) )
