stem and forks help please

right got some tange miti light forks today and my suntour type stem only goes in about 3/4 of the weay hence leaving about 2 inches showing is this norm for these forks or do i need another stem type please with shorter bottom section please

you need a short shafted stem

just fitted some mitylites to my tange hot heart and had to use my shortest stem. even then i had to use a 10mm spacer.
