chrome removal/painting?

i have a couple of rims hanging around and the chrome has gone pretty tatty would like to strip them back and respray them but how would i remove all the chome first is there a special prosess for this or simply peel it off?

I aint entirely sure, but if you wont to spray them then i would have thought you would only have to give them a good rubbing down and then use a decent primer first then spray. other peeps will prob know better.

better to completely strip them, get the prep wrong and the finish will look shite....

or just throw rocks at it like i did my robbo pro bitd!!the chrome flaked off pretty quick after that!!!
