seat dyeing again!!!

has anyone dyed a seat from yellow to blue ,i have a nos kashimax mongoose seat i want to change the colour of ,will this affect the mongoose gold lettering on sides of saddle

no, the lettering should be fine

just use LOTS of salt (cue the_ruler)
2 tubs of dye (no 18 is good match)
VERY hot water

Being a bit dumb here but what does the salt do?

Might I recommend dying it black rather than blue?

Since yellow and blue make green, I'm thinking that's what you might end up with.
I know black will work. (and black would still look good on a blue build.. and a lot better than green! Well I suppose if you try it and it goes green, you can always dye it black.)

just building up the courage to have a go, dont want to mess it up, may look for an old yellow seat and have a practice run first
