Nick and I use Doug Taylor down here in the Bristol area Steve.

He did my quadangle and it cost £140 frame and forks.  You can send it to me and I will take it to them and send it back.

Sean,

140 is a good price,

a mate of mine gets loads of Triumph Stag parts done by Doug Taylor's - he says they are 2nd to none, but I thought they were expensive from what he told me?

I may jump on this and send something your way for chroming?

did the 140 inc. prep-work? etc...

Matt

All I did was drop the frame and forks to them, they stripped the paint from the frame and the chrome from the forks, 4 weeks later... done.  As for the £140, they quoted me £180 but as I was paying cash the knocked ££ off.  I am not saying they will do that everytime though.  Nick has had something done recently so will know an up to date price of them.

However, I did take a set of forks there recently to be stripped of chrome ready for powder and they charged me £5 and took 4 days.  Also had a set of forks stripped and chromed about 6 months ago and they charged me £30.

If you want anything done, send it to me mate.

hey Stidds, thanks for the info, Alex has pointed me in the direction of Geoff Cain who just had his Gen1 done by Hampshire Electro plating - and have done an awesome job - they used to do the chrome for Rickman bitd, plus a couple of other companies - and for a frame only have quoted me £120 which is damn good - including all the prep work.
SO i think I'll send it there, but its great to know you have people in bristol too - always good to have the knowledge of places!

Anyone got any thoughts on how much it would be to get a set of steel rims re-chromed  :-\

I guess they could be located anywhere as they wouldn't be too costly to post  ???
