My Old Fools Southsea PICS!
« on: March 30, 2009, 02:23 PM »
I wanted to day a HUGE thanks to all who made it for this trip.
Its not the easiest thing to arrange these trips, esp with the thrreat of awful weather, but Im so chuffed to be able to say that a good 35 to 40 riders made this one of the best Old fools ever.
Great big thanks to all who made the effort - and hey, we pretty much beat the weather didnt we?!
steve
Enjoy the pics...

It was an amazing trip - Mike Richardson and I left Tavistock in Devon at 5.45am, stopped off for a suasage sarnie en route along some deserted A road...
Then is was full speed ahead to Slades farm - and then on to Kings Park. The second park was amazing. Gary took the most pics of this first part of the trip, so will leave you to look at his thread for that.
Then it was Eastleigh park and then a night of fun...

I finally got my camera out on the Saturday at southsea - here's some pics

steve conner

billy stupple [at esatleigh]

steve geall [ he became known as Gary Bethel, as he stayed in Garys room after gary had driven home as the room was empty but paid for - so we called Steve Gary all night - then we thought Gary Geall sounded like Barry Bethel - and hence the name stuck.

stuntman stupple

old  man kev's [top bloke] bike - love it!

Ronnie Surridge. Blimey!

geoff cain, alex leech and co macking the lady

steve conner [ he used to draw the Mega Mike comic strip , Britains answer to Radical Rick - remember?]

JohnB - what a dude!

wakey wakey, here comes snakey!
20to26 - top fella.

geth shooter!

mikie richardson

Alex Leech - I just wish there was an old battered car for him to nosepick the roof of!

meanwhile - Alex, Geoff and Dougs van got a ticket outside. Damn.

and then came the hail storm!

after pizza it was back to Eastleigh -
this little dude was on this weenie scooter - and the bowl was pretty deep by anyones standard - must have felt like 12ft of vert to him!

steve geall 540 tyretap

then we saw 'redneck dad' and hi sson Cleetus. He was riding one of those motrobike looking pushbikes. Brilliant.
Long lens shot - too scary to get close! " you sure do got a perdy mouth"

then Rednecks son , Cleetus, came to the bowl, and did a silent contorted scream with every trick one of the guys did. I think that after we left every dog in 100 miles turned up, as his screams must have been so high pitched only canines could hear him!

then I made him look like Geoff Cains conscience on his shoulder. Though Geoff doesnt have a conscience I dont think.

philbert

alex

evening came - time for cider...

It was just like the 90's - though this time round I was sitting watching vids with the people who i used to watch in vids in the 90's!!!!

Then the night got messy - Jethro jokes in the bar, a superb meal - and lots of laughs reminiscing about the trip we were still on!
Mike and I drove home... and stopped for a couple of pics at one of my favourite places in the southwest.

Cheers!
steve

Thanks to Steve for setting everything up and paying for everyones meal on saturday night and thanks to Billy for paying the drinks bill.
And to all that lent me a sofa for the night and lifts to parks.
Thanks to James for sorting me out a new frame, cant wait to get it and start building up a new lighter bike and do some proper riding!

To all the new people i met for making me feel welcome to Old Fools, good chats in the bar.

Totally enjoyed my first Old Fools. Got to meet or catch up with some legends and loads of riders i had not met before. Thoroughly enjoyed riding my bike. Can't wait for the next one.

They were in Sheffield a few years back and Richie Clean and me ambled up to say hello. Needless to say we left our bikes in the car when we saw them flying about :2funny:
