Advise: Polishing using a Dremel/Draper Multitool?
« on: March 23, 2009, 06:31 PM »
Anybody got some advise on the steps to getting a grubby silver stem transformed into a polished gleaming beauty?

I've started with 1500 grit wet to glean it up, and now what are the best attachments to use & do I do it with liberal applications of Autosol?

Thanks!

I found after using a fine wet and dry using a felt wheel on the dremel with plenty of brasso and lowest speed gives great results. Dont let it dry out though makes it go dull again.

now that's what I'm talking about - I guess it helps by starting with a minty condition stem huh!

yes  it  does  but  with  the  right  prep  and  a  lovely soft  mop  on a  bench  grinder  and  blue  soap  for  high  shine  finish  you  can  get   this  finish
