os shimano dx pedals --- what year??

can anyone shed light on what year old school shimano dx platform pedals came out??

i'm thinking 84/85 from memory or was it earlier??

They came out in 81, mx in 83 according to martins :daumenhoch:

Not sure all his dates are right [Martin Bike], could have been 81 though although the earliest advert I have found is in BMX Plus May 82, can't find any earlier than that  :-\
