CW cranks end caps
« on: March 20, 2009, 01:55 PM »
right then..i bought some of these rare puppies and am having them rechromed...loverly 3pc with a 1pc thread for pedals ( i dont know either)

anwyay, they came without the end caps...i have checked and the sugino ones fit in.

question is, are there any replacement  end caps that come without sugino on them out there?

these cranks will look crap without the end cap, so i would like to put something equally bling on them that doesnt say sugino on it...

if not, is there someone who can make some for me, if i supply a pair of half knackered sugino ones...

IIRC they used a flat faced cap with two holes in, would be easy enough for someone with access to a lathe or CNX machine to knock up for you  :daumenhoch:

Do you mean the old CW 3 Piece Cranks with the built in Powerdisc that take 1/2" Pedals? I had some of these I will see if I still have any pictures of them.

bodamus :)

Speak to Bigdog Remi Jon, he has had a few sets of these. I saw a set with flat face and Allen key centre, sat fluch on the thread of the Crank.
Nice 3pce Crank, looked everywhere for one when i had my Cw Phase one.

Jonny T, as above, if a Sugino fits it's likely to be a standard 22mm x 1mm thread, I reckon if you go to any posh mb or road bike shop you could be in luck. ;)

Mr Turner, they look to be Sugino type caps going by these pics...

I think I might have confused them with the Anlun crank caps  :-[
