i prefer it chrome, or would do if it was chrome all the way, and chrome was perfect :'( you know one of them moments, where its too late to turn back, but you realise maybe shouldn't have done it......but i think its nicer to look at now then when it twas purple, can look at purple anytime, not many races i come back from without bruising somewhere :LolLolLolLol:

Hyper, NEED ADVISE...GO TO PAGE 3

heres mine latest photo, after changing the wheels....................................

BUT I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM, AND NEED ADVISE :'(

after i stripped it i went to a wet race meeting, and all the "chrome" tarnished and pitted badly. I had to strip her down and spent 8 hours with autosol to get her 90% nice again, and took the above photo................but it was spitting when i took the photo, three hours later go to the garage and those few minutes on the drive and she's all tarnished again :'( :'( :'(

I'm told its cos its nickel coat and not chrome, can't afford a re-chrome, don't particularly want to powder her, but will at last resort,  but wondered if there is any product i can put on her to stop this happening again.

I do have one other thought, i may part company with frame and forks, cos although i think she's a lovely ride, at 5'10" she is a little long for me.

So any good, cheap, advise out there???

yeah, sonic told me to clear all marks and laquer, but some one else told me it wont stick cos too shinney???

probably wouldn't be so long if i changed that redline stem, but can't be arsed, easier to change frame and forks....lol

but would rather keep as is, but cant keep wearing out my w@..king arm polishing off the marks :LolLolLolLol:

Have you tried a carnuba wax or something similar like Meguiars Tech Wax?  A good few coats should give it a quality seal and retain the shine  :daumenhoch:.
