« on: February 27, 2009, 07:08 PM »
i used 194mm spokes, and found out they are too long, think they should have been 184mm spokes.....

only took about 15mins, dead easy following the instructions in the stickies, does anybody know what lenth spokes i should have used?

did you do it 3 or 4 cross as you could move em round more and prob lose the slack
and for some reason it doesnt look right i think youve laced the spokes wrong from the valve

I think its because the spokes are all slack, i did it 3 cross, exactly how stidds does it in the stickies, it looks right (i think)compared to other wheels ive got....

its just that the two spoke that go either side of the valve are wrong
as they should be dead straight to each other but on opp side of hub
is hard trying to explain lol

184mm with 14mm long nipples for 3 cross pattern.
194 for 4 cross pattern.
The good thing about lacing wheels is if its not right you can undo them and start again.
Having a whole wheel to copy does help a bit  :daumenhoch:
