i wouldn,t get it chromed as it tends to flake off after a while due to oxidisation, heres pics of my ripper i polished a couple of years ago

That looks great
what would i have to do after i have stripped the paint off then?
Polish it and lacquer it?
Anyone know if SBD would simply clearcoat it?

I would leave it bare. You can always give it a quick polish if it goes a bit dull. I've got a Ripper as well and have carefully filed a few scuffs out of it.
