I have the video of that indoor race above.

Was at the 1982 ESPN JAG-BMX "BMX Summer Nationals" held at Lubbock Municipal Coliseum, Lubbock in Texas USA.

Greg Grubbs (16) won. Took home $500 in AA Pro Final. Brilliant Race & Look at the lineup!!

Check out the size of Grubbs vs Mighty Stu...Stu bursting out of his jersey!  ;D

Lane 1 - Clarence Perry (CW Factory)
Lane 2 - Harry Leary (Diamond Back Factory)
Lane 3 - Joe Stam (Powerlite Factory)
Lane 4 - No Rider in this lane
Lane 5 - Greg Grubbs (Redline Factory)
Lane 6 - Stu Thomsen (Redline Factory)
Lane 7 - Greg Hill (GT Factory)

If i find time (and a way) to copy the vid and post it i will.   :daumenhoch:

I'll do my best on the copy of the old vid....

Regards the pic SEARLE posted, thats the first speedjump on the start straight, Stu is on the inside but Grubbs snaps out of the gate, had better/smoother technique over the jump and grabbed the holeshot not looking back. It was a close race with Greg Hill pushing him to the end (or as Grubbs remarked "I saw HILL coming up behind me...) and the interview with Grubbs after, he was clearly over the moon (a la Geth Shooters Kelloggs post race interview)  :daumenhoch:
