Yeah , i stripped it all down to clean properly and re-greased the headset, hubs and bb before i put  it back.
Tyres i just left to soak in water (a day or so) with cleaners added- a bit of cillit bang and washing powder then a scrub with a stiff brush. when dried out and fitted i sprayed em with some of that dashboard stuff, silicone spray i think . look nice and new again apart fron some perishing.

Any more specific details on how you tackled the frame matey ?
I've read a few threads on here but just wondered exactly what you did?
Did you wash it down first? Then coke n foil ? Methods for using the coke n foil etc. ?
Did you try the vinegar / HP sauce as well ?
Top results there.....

I just followed what swivel posted in the tech and resto page  wash off the dirt then autosol, wd40, coke and tinfoil . Check out his post , it explains it well and works a treat.  no vinegar or brown sauce!

I did read swivels post a good while ago - i'll have to take another look - seem to remember him doing it in a rather relaxed fashion whilst enjoying a glass of red wine  :LolLolLolLol:

Cheers mate - top resto  :daumenhoch:
