GT pro bars.
« on: February 06, 2009, 01:06 PM »
I know where there are a set of these for sale... they look totally original and untouched!

the person who's selling these wants £60 but is that a good deal?

heres a picture of them.

Well if you spent 100 on a new set then i dont think i'm going to spend £60 on a set that he thinks may need a re-chrome :-\

The cross bar will be round rather than oval

also unless it is a photographic trick they look more like expert size than pro

I have some mid ones and they are stamped 92 under the grip  :daumenhoch: and they have a stamp on the front saying GT inside a circle  ;)

I thought you said they were untouched? I assumed that would mean mint or maybe it could mean not cut down? :-\

I bought a used set that had a couple of marks on from Rich Waxin for £80 last month.

Awesome bars and if they are original chrome early 80's then £60 is fine. Oxalic may do the trick. :daumenhoch:

What i meant by untouched was that they havent been cut or havent been restored... they have the original stickers and chrome :daumenhoch:

OOps, should have said why i may know....

Here's PRO Bars all 1982-84 Unknurled/Unstamped...

All used, except a proper NOS set bought by my fair hands from SPEEDYS BMX in Gloucester in 1984. I ended up racing Robinson Pros in the end so never used these on my main bike.

Watch out for those so called "NOS" Pro's appearing over the last few months....
Nothing but 2008 repros decalled up. Check the decals against a real pair and you'll see the chrome lettering is very slightly different. ..easiest seen on the Santa Ana of the Circular GT badge....
