Crowmans backgarden jump box
« on: February 06, 2009, 10:06 AM »
I found this photo yesterday, i really like it. I was taken in about 1995 at my mate Crowmans backgarden jump box. It was really cool, set in loads of trees. He ended up digging some real jumps but he has moved from there now.

The bike Im riding was my "old" bike. My Purple dirtbike that I panted black and Tip-ex'ed S&M on the downtube. I had it built up as a second bike, without pegs or a front brake. Slam bars, redneck stem, front tuff, rear Araya Aero. Always loads of fun to ride.

Nice pic that and some nice height, a front tuff always looks nice in a pic, i built a second bike bitd for my paperround, one brake, no pegs no gyro, always felt nicer to ride than my regular bike i guess because it was de-cluttered.

Still got the traditional top tube pad in place, even on your spare bike!

Yep, thats Crowman.

Here is a photo of me and Crowman at one of the backyard Jams, (maybe the same year as the photo from his back garden?). Funny thing is, there is about 12 years between the 2 photos and apart from a lick of white paint, Crowmans bike is pretty much the same in both of them (you can just about see it in the stack of bikes)

I made a Left Hand Drive wheel in about 91 by modding a MTB cassette hub, and then started making Left Hand Drive hubs from scratch in about 93. Front hubs and Left and Right drive rear hubs followed too.
