what's the going rate for a pair?

Last pair that I saw go on the bay mate went for £360 if I remember rightly - stupid!

Daz.
Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible cnut... ME!

Never watched it till the end, I lost the will to live, but;
In my opinion;
The box strapping had definately been tampered with before.
The box, see above, looked like it had been opened before.
Why did he only open 1 pedal box, like I said, never watched it all in full, so will stand corrected on this
I smell a big sh1t fallin off chrome, Hutch stylie, RAT on this one.
If you had that many pedals, then why advertise it? Why not just "sneak" em all onto ebay to make a "pension". If everyone knows about em, then the price is surely gonna fall on this "holy grail"
IT STINKS!

I'm not saying this aint the real deal, but is it not strange that all the labels on the box are hand written in black marker,most bike/parts boxes had printed info on them even in the 80's and clear celotape doesn't age well, i know i'm a suspicious fooker.

I don't think there's anything suspect about it.

What his intensions are remains to be seen.  How far away from reproduction are any new Hutch pedals?

pfft.

Good luck to the bloke if he wants to sell.

He obviously had 100% confidence towards Haney..
Can you imagine buying something like a 15 K old box without checking it ?  Haney or not...  ;)

There were sample repro pedals at Rockford 2008  ;) , god knows how long until production though . From what I've heard , the OG 80's Hutch pedal has 4 raised pins & the repros have 8 .

Cant really use DX's though on a race setup.  :-\

Why's that Nick ? , DX's were widely used by racers bitd including me . The best pedal ever all in all , fact .

We all used DX's on our freestlye bikes bitd. All my mates that raced used beartraps of some kind.

I love DXs and use them on all my builds.

Suppose its choice really and what was available from your bike shop bitd.

A bit like UKAI's. We couldnt get UKAI's where i lived. Araya's, zeds or tuffs for us.

Just a personal preference thing then I guess  ;) ( not that they are'nt right for race bikes ) .

If you are going to throw 400 snots at a set of pedals, get something a more trick... Hutch Bear traps, Pah...

Try and find a set of Suntour XC I... now they are both cool and rare.

Mmm, I used to snap axles on US made Hutch pedals, these are taiwanese made ones by the looks of it.  But, they are what they are and that's a bloody rare find.

I'd be surprised if he hasn't outed these for $1000 a pair.......

 :) Think Gossas answered my thoughts-I wondered why the box had R.O.C on it...
