Herne Bay club meeting - 1st February
« on: February 01, 2009, 03:53 PM »
Well done to everyone who braved the weather to be at the meeting today. At one time we had 26 riders registered of which 14 were in the 17+ category. Great that we could split the Cruisers out for their own races.

Can't believe you lot were racing in blizzard conditions at times. Big props to our Finish Line ladies, Debbie & Bev and to our 'snowman' Mark out on the track with the flags and Roy and Steve for setting up the gate, etc. Good to see Nick Cox back on a bike, and a Dialled to boot, though he really should have shown everyone how he can ride, if not, at least how to fall off with style!!

Did we really see JP Mulisha actually race four times today??  Wonders will never cease but at least he can retire now knowing that he can shut the people on here up.

Special thanks to YUM! for being there keeping us supplied with hot drinks and food. Disappointing that British Cycling decided to hold a 'talent team' session at Hayes today as it denuded the younger classes and some of our top riders missed out on it.

Don't forget folks the next meeting will be held on 1st March and details will be posted up again nearer the time to remind you all.  Again, thanks for turning up today everyone.  Humps

Here is a few pics I took from today: http://jameshphotography.webs.com/apps/photos/album.jsp?albumID=3867919. Sorry for the bad quality on a couple of them. Bloody snow got on the lens!
