Shotgun II Seats??

i have this blue shotgun II saddle.but its different to the ones i have had ,and seen? the graining and style on the top is different?
although both have the same stamping underneath(made by the same company)




is there any difference  ? is one more diserable/rarer? or is there no difference?

wasnt thie tinktongs selling them on ebay as jaguar seats ?

Yip, a Jaguar Ariake seat. Early 80's too :daumenhoch:.

yes both are made by Jaguar.

in the muesum rom bloke looks like he has one on one of his gen 1's? so im guessing they are ok ???

it's the same as my chequered one's. i reckon it was chequered too at one point, they did black red and blue in cheque pattern.

Why do you think it was chequered? I had a solid red Shotgun II in 1982/83, the same as that blue one...  but red ;D

take no notice of him .. hes keeps rattleing on about his chequered seats like its the only ones ever made  !  only reason hes got a few is cause no one else wants em  :coolsmiley:

every plain seat i've seen has the shiny stripes through, it was just a thought, sorry if i'm wrong :'(

oh, the cheque is only spray painted/screen printed on not sure which but easily removed, that's why i thought it might have been.

that blue shot gun II is exactly the same as the one i had which came on a diamond back senior pro i got for xmas 1982... some parts were standard some werent.. think they must of been swapping parts in the shop or summit when it was bought... suppose my dad wouldnt of had a clue at the time... deffo same pattern dont worry

I have a Pink one dated 85/2 (feb i guess?) which has the same top markings as the black one, also a Red one which is dated 83/1 (Jan i guess)
