don't seem much interest in it this year , me personally think BOTM is taking the shine off it , I d like to see bike BOTM scrapped and just concentrate on BOTY ,  don't even need different sections to enter ya builds , just 2 builds per person what where built in said year , job done , just my opinion

The turn out isnt as big as i expected either.

All seem to be the same bikes that we have seen entered in bike of the month compo's.

Some great bikes in there though.

i think you're not alone thinking BOTM is taking the shine of BOTY

I also think more people would have made the effort to show n shine at the xmas bash if they hadn't already showcased their builds in BOTM.

just my opinion like but there's a reason why the xmas bash shon n shine was poorly attended and i don't believe it people not having the money to build as BOTM have around 10 bikes at least each month.

my theory.

when you log onto rad,  the front page with the 'latest news' bit on the right hand side is still dated november 08, and going on about the xmas party. The centre section is now dedicated to the shop,and there is no shoutbox, so you have no way of 'postering' or 'headlining' what is traditionally one of the annual highlights of rad.

Despite Nick Gasheads best efforts, he aint got the tools to publicise it..hence the low volume of entries and lack of buzz.

theres tooooo many awesome builds, wasn't gonna enter any, but only did to boost numbers, maybe a"top end builds" section
"mid range build"section and a "lower end" build section would get more entries as some builds look the nuts but can't really compete with the top enf f/f with everything lavished on em, so they don't bother entering them.

BOTM is a great idea, as we've seen a lot of new builds we normally wouldnt

BOTM is cool maybe have all the monthly winners in for 1 comp and a separate one for all other builds at the end of the year would be a good idea..like a best of the rest or BOTR as it could be called

I think there is something in what O.D says, there are some fantastic blinging top end builds that are going to blow the rest of the competition away.
Maybe people don't want to see their hard work end up with no votes so have decided against it.
