My Quadangle build thread (DONE!!!) - Entered in Feb BOTM!
« on: January 19, 2009, 04:55 PM »
EDIT: Hijacked my own thread...lol

Picked these up the other day, Rickman Reynolds 531 race bars that will go nice with the 531 quad frame, and 531 seat post I got.  What do you think, bit of spit and polish and they should come up a treat (they are 28 x 8 btw).

But (big question), do I remove the Rickman decal or leave it on?

Dont think so, got em of ebay.

They arrived today and are clearly NOS, they have definitely never been fitted.  Beautiful looking bars, nice and wide.

Here they are with my Rynolds 531 seat post...

And we are off...

Was waiting on the landing gears coming back from powdering (cheers Dan, they are sweet) before I could get underway.

Thanks to Dan for powder, Del for LG decals, Daz for lovely headset and of course Matskybeat for the frame / forks.  Im so glad I took the plunge and sold the Streetbeat to fund this, its gonna be a beaut (fingers crossed).

Ive ordered some of those plastic washers from ebay, so before I can fit the wheels I need them to arrive.

Got everything for it now more or less, only problem being I could do with a nice polished seatpost clamp to replace the white hinged DC I had planed to use, as apart from the forks i'll have no other white parts on it (originally planned white brakes and stem, but decided against it).

Also I did plan on using the blue Kashi Aero off my TA, but its a definite rider (bit scuffed) so wont look the part on this (my blingiest build to date)...lol

Difficult to get decent pics in my 'compact' kitchen, but you get the idea.  Its now starting to looking like a bike.

Got an MX1000 front on the way to match the rear, and a seatpost already.  Just need to sort a clamp and a decent seat.

p.s. all te blues match up better in reality.  The artificial light seems to reflect them differently.
