If it's a Viper, there'll be mounts on the drive side, for a chain guard  ;)

well the serial begins with the year then the batch then the batch number 1h00034 for example and will have the little baseball symbol because it's made in japan. if it is like F 4 33333 then it'a a taiwan made bike. if it's from 82/83/84 on and has an american bb then it will be a silverstreak(unless it's got a chaingaurd tab), if it's from 81 or earlier with an european bb then it will be a  mini pro, or with an american bb frome the same period then a medium pro. it's too small to be a senior pro. if it's newer than 85, ask somebody else because i have not got a clue about the later stuff(pacers vipers etc.)

Hi all

I also had a Viper (my first DB) and that did not have chain guard mounts.

Shite pic agreed, but it does look very small in the front and rear triangles, and look how close the front wheel is to the top of the forks.

It also has a very slanting seat post (if this has not cracked it has done well, so most probably a small / light rider) so I'm going with a mini of early 80's

J.
