bit technical bike set up help ish
« on: January 10, 2009, 09:14 AM »
right just got new set bars for me haro racer and fitted em .they are in line with forks and are 2 inches wider and 1/2 inch higher than me old bars .i rode on street to get feel on where they needed to sit in the stem and moved em back bit couple of times till they felt okayish.now the front end of the bike lifts super mega easy now where as before it was glued to the ground but the steering feels bit scetchy is this the norm or is it me because ive rode the other bars for near on 21/5 years .or will it make dofference sgortening them bit or moving em back /forward a tad
ta guys

narrow bars are more sketchy wider bars more solid slower steering  having them further back can lighten the front as your moving your
body weight back .
