Homeless blogspot

Here's a new site my mate Jay in the states has just started working on:

http://homelessbikes.blogspot.com/

Obviously early days right now but he's a pretty motivated guy so expect it to improve quickly. Check out his original Mack XL, didn't even know that Homeless ever made one until a couple of months back, kind of like a Holmes with a coaster brake mount and a few other changes  8)

lol about 80% percent of those pics are mine i sent to him, looking good so far. i know jays real into homeless bikes, they are pretty sweet. his xl mack is pretty cool. also bought some nice hammer shin pads off him for cheap not to long ago, and clued almasterb to some nice first gen big daddy forks still with decals on that he needs for his first gen from jaybrand.

i kinda want to do the same kinda thing for hoffman bikes... :daumenhoch:

The Mack and Soul Bro were the first framesets from Homeless, but in total I think there was about eight different models

That's an early Pornstar Dan, you can tell by the junction where the seat stays meet the seat post. Whereas these are both gen 2 Macks, the black one is early, yours is a later model:

I know that the frames were changing with the times but you can't beat the original sleek lines of the Mack imo ;)

I'm with subversion on this, the original Mack was the better looking, although the later one was definitely the tougher version.

Did Sheps ever ride the gen 2 Mack, I thought he'd left Homeless before that one came out?

OK. I should be writing kid's reports now, so what better time to procrastinate

Homeless was originally Sheps and Ruben, but funded by Greg Hansen (I think it is Hansen), who was a main part of Trend with Tina etc..  They were the pr face, he mostly paid for the manufacturing and what not.  92 and 93 were I reckon the main SHeps and Ruben homeless years..
There was a falling out after a year or so of Homeless, Greg assumed control of Homeless, Sheps tried to launch Family, which never really got past an advert and a few stickers (late 93).  Greg at the time was also doing the Club Homeboy stuff, which involved John Yull sat in a house opposite trend sewing shorts!  94ish Greg set up the manufacturing facility to make the mk 2 homeless frames.  which as you can tell were quite crude.  The whole lot burnt down some time after that.
Anyway

Johnny is an exemplary member of my tutor group, unfailingly polite and willing to listen

I wish........  ;)
