just looking for a cheap enough bike to use.

Si

Stick a Wanted advert in the Wanted Section.

If your a lanky then a longer TT might be in order as they are more stable and the geometry is more forgiving!!

What region are you in, barge?

South - Portsmouth.
I've got a cruiser and a mission to get fit enough to do some club racing at Gosport this year.
I also have a re-issue PK ripper looptail that I'm putting mostly new school stuff on. Hoping to race this in the 20 inchers as well! I'm riding to work now, so getting 15 miles a day in...

I'd like to do old school, cos I am and also cos I'm not the full-on race type, I'm happy just doin the stuff.

Oi! Get off everyone..................I saw him first! :knuppel2:

Right then fella, this is what you wanna do, firstly you wanna get yourself that Super Tuff Burner (never thought id say that!) then come and race it in the East Anglia, one question though..........................wheres Brompton? :idiot2:

Thanks for the encouragement. East Anglia a bit far from Cardiff for frequent trips though.

Don't mock the Brompton - very cool bikes, good for one's bike handling 8)

There's one at Parc Bryn Bach, Tredegar, but it's not too newby friendly - quite tough :-[

I'm told that Bristol is better - not Wales, but close.

So, what exactly is happening with OS racing this year?

Is there going to be any going on in Wales or South West?

That's encouraging, insofar as it goes, but is this person signed up to this website?

Are there any other expressions of interest from people in Wales or South West coming through?

Do people bring bikes for sale to the races?
Just wondering where I get a reasonably priced OS (£300) bike from?

I was beginning to think I was the only one around here.

My trouble is, I'm undecided between OS and 4X. OS has a number of things going for it, but I'd need to buy a bike (just got an MTB and a folder for commuting at present), which would be happy to do if there are gonna be some races within a reasonable distance.

You riding much? If so, where? I did a trip to parc bryn bach, which I subsequently learnt was tough for someone who hasn't jumped over anything on a bike for over 20 years :-[. I've heard that Bristol's track is better.

Any more people in Wales/South West here?

Hi mate

I have a little pedal about when the weather is good, but only got my bike out the attic last summer after 22 odd years.

I went to Bryn Bach one sunday with the enermy, but there was a meet there so only managed a quick roll aroud the track, but must abmit the second half of the track was a bit much after such a long lay off....& Im far from being fit  :2funny: Got to talk to a fe of this site there, as ther was a lot of interest in my OS bike, even the youngsters knew what it was which suprised me, & some warned me not to ride it as I would brake it on the new track  :2funny:...peskey kids  :D

Ive ment up with an old mate from BITD through this site (Welsh Denny), but he rides freestyle, so have been to a couple of events local...great to catch up, & his memory for name etc is amazing...a propper trip down memory lane  8)

Where did you used to ride BITD & what area are you in ??

well you're one up on me having an OS bike already. I've heard that the Bristol track is easier for a beginner (forgive me if I've said that already).

So, if I get an OS bike and learn to get over the jumps, how many of us are there for OS South Wales/South West?
