Some of the best riders in 40+ cruisers are already 45 or near as damn it  ;) thats not including bill fieldhouse who's in his 50's and can still make A finals and win B finals  :4_17_5:

I think phil beers 44,ady warden i think is in his middle 40's as is kieth wilson?

They`ll be a 45+ class either next year or the one after, there already is one at the worlds, and the yanks have a 50+ as well  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

I think its injuries and fear of them that slows you down, not age, a person in his mid/late 40's can be as fit as a 20 something, the difference is that to KEEP fit the older guy will have to train LOADS more, i did see the figures somewhere that said that if an already fit as can be 20 something wants to stay at peak fitness he needs 8 hours a week training, it goes up to 20 something hours if your 50, still achievable, but hard!

If your knees, back, shoulders etc are ok & you train (& you can ride a bike!) then i dont think there is a cutoff point.

Brian Dayson is as quick as fook & he was born in 1952!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

45+ is happening this season.

So far I know that Phil Beer, Billy Fieldhouse, Dave Herman, Ady Warden, Brian Dayson and Steve Jenks will be racing in that class this year, plus anyone else who comes back.

Too right.  Why bother with 40+ when you almost won the 19+ national title.

I want to see Mr Shooter back in Masters this season.

Looks like I'm having my hand forced onto this cruiser lark.  I seem to be the only one left who is still interested in old school 20".

By the way, beware you lot. My little brother raced his first cruiser race on sunday and was in the seniors.

Congrats little bruv! He got 3rd, 2nd, and 1st in his motos and made the A final. He was fighting for third place all the way round but ended up 5th. I think he did bloody well considering the bike came straight out of the box and on to the track. The gearing was 41 - 18 which made his legs look like road runner! So fook knows how quick he'll be once he has it set up correctly. Nice one bruv! :4_17_5:

30-39 cruiser will be interesting again this season with Sam and the other ex-old schoolers racing that class.

Does that mean being the ripe old age of 41 that I'll be split up from little bruv then if I join cruiser class? God and I was just starting to enjoy whipping his young arse!! ;D

They'll probably let you race in 30-39 instead of 40+ if you want to ride what's perceived as a harder/more challenging class.

I've just turned 40 and going to race on Sunday  for the first time in about 25 years. Really looking forward to it. I've been doing a bit of Mountain Biking for the last 20.

The old GT Performer is looking a bit like Sally Gunell ( ugly but a good runner ).  Lets see how we go.........
