has anybody tried to get an old one peice crank rechromed ?.
i've got 3 or 4 sugino etc that the chromes gone on but are still good condition.
does the bobbles in the metal make it harder to do or something.
anybody ?.

i had mine done!!! they are better than new, as them bobbles are the natural course finish of the steel, that has not been polished flat  and smooth before the chrome process... ;)

Dave hi mate. I get mine done in Hoddesdon at RCJ, cost me a tenner a piece, look the absolute bollox. Where are you located? If you wanted to pop them into me, I need to go to RCJ next week to take down my f/f for a re-chrome, and could drop these in. They ain't the quickest but the work is good. LMK!

i have a few parts i need doing..... mainly a set of lowdrag bars and a set of 3rd gen profile arms

Hoddesdon in Herts mate. Tenner in cash each one, otherwise it'll be £10+vat. Say you know me (Matt) and speak to the owner John if you go there. If there is any writing down the side, specify that you don't want that polished out and be firm with them about it. They do a bloody good job though  ;)

arms are the unstamped late 80s early 90s so thats all good
