you can download the bmx rules from the BCF website.  has all the measurements needed.  dont think there is a minimum.

I might do 2 classes again, so bring the old school bikes with ya  :daumenhoch:
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

I was thinking about doing both, but now I'll be lucky to do cruiser.  Man flu again!  I'll still be there though, even if I can't race.  I'll do the gate or call up or summat.

OK, I suppose my actual question is - for racing to take place does the track have to be a minimum length and width?

New track being put in near mine and wondering

I think most regional and national standard tracks are in the region of 400m long.  Norwich is probably the longest track in the UK at around 440m.

Peckham is probably under 300m long even when you ride the second straight twice (the second straight is also the 4th/last straight).

with respect to Gosport - the other rumour i heard about the track was that it was going to replace the Andover one as they were going to be re-doing their track.....

think southern Andy told me that.....

It was me Simon but Andover are really cracking on with the job mate and it's expected to be finished this month, so there will be a new Andover track to play on come March.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

Just wondering, with all this what license do you need to race regionals.  What is required tomorrow as I just have bronze at the moment!
