Seeing as they're U/S anyway you have nothing to loose.
If you used heat on them you would need to get the shoulder very hot - bright red, to be able to straighten them up and put a bend back in. Youd have to push the leg up towards the steering tube as you did it to do this.
If you just heat the leg up and bend it open all you will do is put a kink in the shoulder as the tube collapsed.
A lit bit of TLC needed and you MAY get away with it. Definately hot over cold though.
The finish would need sorting after mind. Good luck mate.

Seeing as the dropout is bent it points to them getting damaged in transit. IMO.

it's not very pleasing to the eye :crazy2: but it can be sorted. it cost you almost nothing so have a go. you can always replace the forks if you bungle the job.

very true. still a nice frame

I live round the corner from Eamonn and just before he packed it for postage the pair of us jumped up and down on the forks for several minutes to bend them. Only jokin'.   ;) .Seriously, Eamonn is ok. Its certainly not intentional. I have seen some of his builds and sometimes I have had to point out that a saddle is on upside down.... :D

i wouldn't want to ride them if you put a lot of heat in them. it will alter the structure of the steel. not reccomended. Ok for a show bike, not for a rider.
