Built my mate a mini super tuff burner and couldnt get a seatpole long enough so we swiped the neighbours wheelie bin (they only came out a week earlier) set fire to it and used the axle as a post. Had to pack it out with insulation tape as it didnt quite fit and it weighed a ton but it worked :idiot2:

grip tape all over it

and that weird thing we all did to our front brakes by using a rear cable and tieing in down the fork leg then looping back up to attempt to botch a sort of potts mod effect

cutting up ice cream tubs and making a brake guard for the front brake bolt (stop ripping shoes when doing tailwhips.) used to cable tie it to the fork crown.

Not the bike, but my helmet.
Cut out loads of little flames out of cardboard and stuck then down the middle of the helmet in a mohican stylee.

 :wtf: was I thinking of.

In the very early 80's - playing cards pegged to the frame to sound like a motorbike when the wheels went round !  :-[

Not so good with tuffs though...  :LolLolLolLol:

who tried to put their crank and back wheel in the wrong way so the chain was on the left to see if they could pedal backwards and go in reverse?

I certainly didn't :-[

Got my Dad who was a 'fitter' at the time to make me some pegs for my mongoose, they finished up weighing more than the bike!

I am sure he used half a scaffolding pole and welded pigeon poo type blobs to them to stop my feet from slipping off.

That was my street cred down the drain - I must have had em on my bike for months before I had the guts to tell him they were shxt!!! (he was/is a big man).

I am sure I may still have them, because I hid them that well he wouldn't encourage me to put them back on again!

what do you think, stick em on ebay as a rare set of HARO'S ???  :P

Sticking those mini Garfield cat things that were meant to go on the end of a pencil, on my valve caps.

What was all that about ?

I had postman pat on the front and his van on the rear  :2funny:

We all used to fix old/buggered brake levers on our forks, as home made fork-stands.

Lasted about a week tops.
