OS spots....
« on: January 18, 2009, 02:21 PM »
We used to have a few awesome places down here near me when I was younger, the chalkpit behind my parents place was unreal, there were a couple of decent tracks & an old concrete bowl/snake run thing... all have now gone sadly  :'(

I like the old places, nowt to technical, always good for carving around & stuff so just curious too if any of you guys know of any old school spots that are still there, tracks, concrete etc.... I guess they are all pretty much gone but you never know... Any pics would be good too..

Dartford Heath, there's only two of the early 80's jumps left but loads that were started in the 90's that are still used.

The only place left where me and Dave Slade used to ride is Rabbit Hill in Wombwell Woods. It's still there but it's totally overgrown with trees. It's was like a big dirt halfpipe but with one side loads higher than the other. Big roll in to dirt quater to big long flat. Perfect old school jumping conditions!!

How about:

Burnham Beeches (Burnham)
Haslams Wood (chalfont st peter)
Slough trading estate (one of the first 'street' spots)
Denham Roundabout Quarterpipe
Mushroom Farm (we built a while track in here before the fecker was burnt down!)

All top spots!

all the old spots in cardiff long gone- the bombpatch, ramp room ( all of the varying 3 - 4 set ups), sandies mud bowl, daviot st track, newport rd halfpipe ,penarth rd warehouse, cyncoed track & bowl, watertower (my old flat riding spot til about 2003), banks ( just by the central train station) and few others i can't remember off the top of my head.

bristol still has some good old parks- dean lane (bedminster) and st georges amongst others.

There was this chick named Marion Grisby. We used to ride her a lot. Does that count?
