Aint gotta a clue about new skool but of the stuff I have seen that is very sexy...flatcap sent me some links of S&M frames when I first signed my life away to RAD and I am sure they do like a golden coloured/smoked earlier version which was stunning and very similar in detail to that one.

Daft question..do many other newschool companies make stuff this good looking? as most of the new skool stuff I see really don't have that 80's visual beauty to me,although I understand engineering wise it would kick my bikes ass x 10 :-[

that 80's visual beauty to me,

by that you mean chrome?

chrome plating actually weakens the metal its plated to, hydrogen embrittlement i think its called,so you dont see it that much in bmx these days,

this should explain it better,

http://www.bikeguide.org/guides/chrome/

you name me an old school colour though and i'll show you a new-school frame in it :daumenhoch:

"80's visual beauty"
i like that though, tickled me  :LolLolLolLol:

I just think stuff from the 80's the shapes the brands just have that nostalgia to me..Not really looked at newskool alot but the stuff I have seen is y'know sort of flat and very beefy looking...? No disrespect to new skool I think the riders are insane love watching the vids and the bikes are way better engineered and can take abuse an old 80's freestyle bike could only dream of,
that sm in chrome just appeals to my 80's warped head :) the one i seen in a tarnished gold was very nice indeed ill see if I can fish out the link.

You think thats expensive, the RRP's for the 09 S&M frames bought through 4down will have you rollin in the isles  ;D

Try £530 for a chrome 38 special..........................lovely though a chrome 38 is, the dollar has made it at least £100 too much (uk retail) and I know you can import one from streetmafia etc, but you still have the shite exchange rate to contend with and the possibility of import duty  :tickedoff:
Whats the matter Kid, don't ya like clowns? Don't we make you laugh? Aint we fukkin funny?

Its was the shiney that got me looking at it, but I just love the attention to detail they put into these frames..........

ive  been eyeing up chrome ltf's for a while now and it seems in uk we have to pay a chrome tax

for example

a raw ltf is $400 from the usa
a chrome ltf is $450 from the usa, $50 difference

a black ltf is £340 in the uk

a chrome ltf is £450 in the uk

so we have to pay a extra £100 for chrome yet the americans pay $50 (£30) more for chrome

that ebay chrome ltf is the cheapest ive seen but im suspicous, why hasnt it got top tube and seat tube decals?

the tax man likes a bit of chrome,

the seat tube decal looks to be under the warranty card,

I got my LTF from the states recently the chrome was the same price as the raw.
There is no std pattern to the decals on the LTF, they seem to stick em on however they feel that day, i know several peeps with LTF's none are the same decal wise, I know one guy who got a chrome one that had no decals on at all they sent him some decals but no LTF top tube decals which makes me wonder if there not doing them anymore, they seem more into the dope smoke type decals now.

The new retail price for a Chrome L.T.F is £530. due to the very poor exchange rates at the moment.

They're trying to work something out on price at the distributors but that's work in progress.

I can do great deals on these but the high retail price is obviously going to limit orders somewhat.

You can expect all prices of non home grown products to rise somewhat next year though .
