I ain't no tough lad.

You've got no worries there, I'm sure you could kick my arse.

Watching people fall over on YBF is one thing.   Dave's slam, is entirely another, and you should fcuking know better.

I'm sorry.  I will never laugh about that day, even if Dave can now.

No smilies this time , I wouldn't want to offend you.

for your info priv my old fruit...

twobob was the first to the scene of my accident, and administered first aid.
he also took the decision to turn me over as i was obviously face down, unconcious, basically bleeding from my brain, thru the open break in my maxillio bone(thats the roof of the mouth), and in making his decision he knew that he had to stop the bleeding, but in turning me over also ran the risk that if i had spinal damage he could have paralysed me.
but he made the right choice, but that day prob is stuck in his head as much as mine, although i remember fook all about it.
so please forgive him if he finds you laughing at me a bit offensive....after all, i spilt 3 1/2 pints of blood on his jeans and tee shirt that day.

funny, no mate...it wasnt....and it still isnt

fact

i cant remember what we were doing that day....i know i was following paul superfly around the moguls.

and i normally always wear a motocross full face.
would it have saved me, doc reckons it may have broke my neck.

No scars apart from where I impaled myself on my handlebars at the Creation Novice night on May 10th

I knackered both grips as the wooden floor took a chunk out of one grip and my stomach took a chunk out of the other!!

I wish I was using Cobra Grips!!  ???

20 minutes later I jumped off the back of my bike as I flipped out and landed on my feet.

Trouble was my right foot was well under my body and I landed on my toes and hyperextended them.

Next Morning (12 hours later)

Next Afternoon (20 hours later)

I couldn't ride for the next three OS meets and when I started racing I didn't train because it still hurt!!

Only just started exercising my foot properly over the last month!!

I still have a small scar in my stomach and a large diminishing mass in my stomach after impaling myself!!   I reckon it will disappear completely over the next year!!

And to top off the night, my bike got stolen!!

If you see me riding towards you then take a wide berth and save yourself!!   :daumenhoch:

Well slamming when older and heavier had a severe impact on me, I offed at the charlton spine in prob 2003? and ruptured both kidneys, with the threat of losing them and having to have dialasis for the rest of my life , sitting still in a hospital bed hoping they would scab over and heal was a tough time , and it certainly has stopped me riding ramps

i still ride my old bikes , I have sold any new school bikes as a result and love to just roll around cruising our capital riding an old school machine

man thats one fat foot

It sure is!!

I can't believe your thinking of racing!!

My foot is still giving me gyp 7 months on!!

My heel wasn't damaged so walking was no problem after a few weeks but my toes and ligaments/tendons/stringy bits took a lot, lot longer!!  :(
