Random old school related stuff
«

Found a box of stuff round my Dads a while back, no hidden gems but a load of random items from when i was racing.
I was a member of a couple of race clubs, Brandon and Norwich.
This was from brandon, a club race top.
And some race programs
Also some Radpad magazines. These were ukbmx region 8 newsletters
Some ukbmx raceline magazines
And a couple of others, one nbmxa

A few more odds and ends.
Jamie vince and the skoda that he won. Doesnt sound much now but was quite a big deal at the time.
Debbie scott-webb
Sudbury track layout
My moto sheet for a race i did in california when we were on holiday there.
Got a load more info for brandon and norwich clubs as my parents were on the committee, documenting 1985 through to about 1989.

cool pics
the brandon track is almost gone its got a bmx ramp park on it very small but the start hill has survived
a few of us got together in 83/84 jay mills of hardcore hobbies and his dad n mum with myself
sorted it all and designed it and it was a great little track.
this pic is of me on my curtis freestyler "still got it" testing the lines and checking the first jump was in the rigt place
you can see its not even got the start hill tarmac down as yet great days.

Nice pics there harris.
Ive only got a couple of (not very good) pics of brandon.
I will try and get them on here aswell.
Ive got lots of old club info, not great to look at but interesting as i dont suppose much of it has survived.

This makes me feel a bit sad. Not sad in a bad way, but sad as in the way BMX was...Pontins and Butlins having BMX events and the whole family scene revolving around BMX and good times.
...and now just shite Bingo, crap Caberet and cheesy discos...
its a shame that they dont do it anymore.

Im sure I was in the top 8 iin 86 but obviously not
In one of your pictures there are magazines called radpad, does one of them have a report on a national at pleasurewood hills , eddy king was there that weekend and I think he is on the front page of one of your mags .It would be nice to read that report if it is.
