i was surprised they didnt do the up to "20.5 frames as "dirtbikes" and the above 20.5's as "holmes"

Wish I could find a good chrome plater in Taiwan where I get my stuff made.  I do love a nice chrome bike.

That's one way of doing it, but not the most economical/best value for the customer doing it that way.

Do s&m still do the holmes? or does the dirt bike now just come with a range of front end lengths?  The holmes always seemed to have a well long back end, longer than the dirt bike.

They've not done the Holmes for a few years. They hadnt done a dirtbike for ages until this one.

Many say that as this new dirtbike is avalable in longer Top tube lenghts, the longer ones should be stickered as holmes frames, but for some reason Moeller thinks that the Holmes isnt as iconic as the dirtbike.
