I have my doubts Skyway actually sold any 86 TA's.

I'm yet to see an 85 TA and all the 86's i've seen have been 00's rewelds.

the 2000 re-issues with the 86 serial had holes in the fork drop outs.

I'm yet to see an 85 TA and all the 86's i've seen have been 00's rewelds.

i had a solid drop out frame i sold, the tear drop tubing was also slightly different. The first time i sold it the  guy brought it back as he thought it was a fake, i sold it cheap in the end as i thought it was a copy

Yep, that's what I know too but I reckon they must have appeared pretty late on though so must have been some of the last ones built?

 how do you know it was a proper 86? 

I think the DBi frames were the ones they had left.

The BB was stamped 86 skyway USA drop outs where both cut out on F and F...so i put 2 and 2 together Bob

Unsure of the history just went by the date stamps lovely bike I miss it
