i was a die hard tuff fan and only ran tuffs from when i got back into riding and had no problem with them, loved them, then i rode spokes for a while n tried going back to tuffs, fookin no way! the flex, after you get used to spokes, is fookin unbelieveble, you just don't realise. spokes all the way now for me im afraid.

Tuffs are rubish, hahaha.  Sorry to you die hard lovers, but they are just rubbish.  Flex feels horrible and they just shater if you landed badly on a 360 for eg.  Yer they looked cool back in the 80s but a bit of wind and you were blown to flying 90 of death, haha.  I had z rims in the 80s too and yes every time I landed to bend the rim 90 a few spokes went as phantom photon has said, haha.

Other than the FLEX problem, the main thing, IMHO is the "drag" they cause. They are totally un-aerodynamic. Just spin one between your hands and feel the air they displace in your face. They must take so much energy just to overcome that.
That apprecited, it is a joke really to see OS boys racing with them.
They are the coolest looking wheel though, without doubt.
