this is the mini ramp now at creation as of monday nite . you can still use most of the park ? hope its ready for the xmas party?

well they dropped the mini ramp on the floor and nudged it up to the bowl bits.

Oh yes, well spotted Joe. 

I think that a mini ramp that is bowled out on one side is always a waste of time. You cant ride it like a bowl, all you do is carve round the corner once or twice, and then end up riding it like a mini ramp. It does look quite good that the bowl bit is close to the wall so you can wall tap it, but Im not sure where you'd get the speed from unless you rode across the flat bottom and used it like a 1/4.

I'm sure the idea is that it will be a complete bowl around the the mini ramp structure, though I could be completely wrong. 

and i'm wondering how far along they are now. it is Weds, so Ian (voodoocars) is probably going tomorrow tonight, so we might hear some more.

I'll be checking with the project manager again tonight and I'll feed back on here.

They have assured me it will be ready for Saturday.

I've got man-flu at the moment but like a brave soldier I am I will endeavour to get to creation on thurs nite.I'll report back asap.One of the managers did state to me that the ramp will be rideable by sat so we will see.Fine by me if it isnt as I cant ride it anyway

i gave paul a ring on the blower earlier to get an update, he was working on the mini with two other lads as we spoke.

the mini is in situe and will be rideable for the weekend for definate. the bowls are in place but unlikely to be finished and a barrier will be put across. the other side is goin to be left open but with two hips, one either side to transfer in/out of the mini to link it with the street course. that won't be started till monday.

bottom line is. the mini ramp will be rideable for saturday so fear not!

Was down Creation tonight (Thursday) for an hour or two and took some photos of the mini...

Things seem to be moving on and it looks like it is almost done. Chattin to the guys they think it should be ready for Saturday.

I forgot to say also that there was a leak from the roof onto the deck between the jump box and the roll in - but it is easily avoided...


PLus the weather is supposed to be good on Saturday so should have dried up.

Hey, that mini dont look too bad now. I always found that high bit hard to ride cos it was so close to the edge of the ramp (and the vert ramp), but now it will be way more useable cos you cant go off the side. Also, with the bowl being higher than the main deck, it makes for a few interesting lines.

Im looking forward to riding it now!

just got back from creation, the mini is ridable along with the bowled corner plus alot of the other park is also ridable ,
can't remember his name but the fella they get to build the ramps needs a bloody good pat on the back as he's been at it non stop, he looked shattered tonight..

so game on for tomorrow

its still in an 'unfinished' state, but pretty much everything is now ridable, stuff that was fenced off last thursday is now open! its still no where near perfect, but as I've said deffo ridable

Good news Ray, nice one. Im really happy about that. Really looking forward to riding it now. Having it finished for tomorrow night ALMOST makes up for the trip last week when it was totally fenced off.
