Any old Buckinghamshire old schoolers on rad?
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:46 AM »
I moved to Devon with my folks in 1986, but before that I used to hack around following my two elder brothers who both rode bmx, and we lived in Chalfont St Peter in Bucks. Anyone else on here used to ride at Denham Common, Hazlems Wood or the infamous Eplipsy Centre grounds where tree root jumps and curb jumps were aplenty?
Happy memories, some amazing bikes the kids had I remember.. I wonder what happened to all thos pk rippers and GT's that lined the streets then!

Yep; Haslams wood, Denham Roundabout quarterpipe, Burnham Beeches, the Mushroom Farm and the Epo Depot.

Ah, happy days...

Where did you live in Chalfont St Peter? I went to school at Chalfont Secondary and most of my buddies were from Chalfont!

Same here, but Lee and I used to ride together a lot too.  Used to ride Denham with Boyd Walker and John Povah too.  Did the GX common thing too and also remember a jump spot near Seer Green.  Did you ever get up to Ivor Clarkes in Harefield, a guy named Steve and his dad owned it (can't remember the surname as too long ago now!).

Stodghy, I cant believe it, we would have been riding at the same places at the same time - and the locals all called it the Epo Depot! Amazing that you were from that way. I live on Misbourne Avenue which was right next to one of the entrances to the epo depot, we'd get our sweets from Bales and son the shop,, then ride the jump on the green at the top of monum, ent lane. My brothers are  called Mike and Dave, and we rode with a guy called Paul TALBOT AND daniel copperman, i think thats how you spell their names. Crazy eh?!
