Tiger dating
« on: December 01, 2008, 08:52 AM »
Just curious about tuf neck tiger dating. I have two pro stems with different top caps. Just assume the logo changed at some date but what happened when?
I think the oldest is the tigers head looking to my left. It says underneath TUF-NECK usa
The second has the head looking to my right, the tiger has a neck on it with what looks like a chain round. The writing says Tuf-Neck above the head and pro-model below. I am sure someone has asked this before but i can't find it looking back.

The ads in Tech Resto stickies may give approximate dates when certain types were out  ;) .

This is an early doors version - not even a tiger, not sure of dates though

It looks, according to the adds that they were unstamped until 81 then the ad's only goe up to 85 and 81 to 85 have the 1st logo i mentioned. Just need to know now when the second came out?

I thought this thread was going to be about the study of courting tigers. Disappointed.  >:(

The second stem i mentioned at the beginning . The adverts on here go up to 85 and the link to the parts index only go to 84. Obviously the stem must be later than 85. So it would make it between 85 and 93 , anyone any idea when?
