Fair Weather 40-plussers
« on: November 26, 2008, 10:11 AM »
 ;)

Where were all the 40-plussers at Bournemouth winter regional?  Just me, Billy, Matt and Kev (and Dave Glendower but he raced masters instead).

Hope they'll be coming out to play at Rd2/Daggers on the 7th of December.

I've no need to talk about fair weather riders, Bournemouth was the first winter regional I've managed to get to in years as I usually miss all the winter races with man flu.

Nik Pullen coming with me to Daggers, (providing I have no family emergencies).

Perhaps we should ask to go in with the 30-39ners if there`s not that many of us   ???
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

I thought they would've put all cruisers in together, but don't mind really.  It's only winter racing.  As long as we have a proper 40+ class for summer.

I thought cruisers had the option to enter if they wished, best ask Lynn at registration if your interested. God knows, I was at the meeting where it all discussed, but I've got a shockingly bad memory. ::)

I believe that I talked Nic Preece and Marcus Rich into racing at Dagenham last night also.  They were both drunk, but odds are good for 2 new comers to the class next Sunday. Might even make 2 full gates at this rate.....

Ups the competition as well. MArcus ex NBMXA British Champ, and Nic managed a #4 National Super Class, and W 5th I seem to remember. They may have some sitness work top do, but you know the skills are there.....
