did profile make these hubs? and how old do you think they are? profile made the cranks in the 90s for gt.
is it a secret or am i mis-speculating they made hubs for them too.

i just picked em up from the usa for about £40 shipped  :daumenhoch:

i reckon a bargain?

has anyone got a 15 teeth freewheel spare? is 42/15 a decent hard gearing? like 45/16. i got a 42 teeth powerlite sprocket too

is 42 the answer to the ultimate question

I can't remember when GT started making the Mohawk hubs but I bought my first set from Trend Bike Source around 1996/97.  I don't recall seeing them a great deal earlier than that.

I've never heard the "made by Profile" rumour before.  The GT cranks were, but not sure about the hubs.

Can't remember.

I've got an NOS set in the garage somewhere but I don't think they're still in their original box.

There's a Mohawk ad from around 94/95 in one of the Standard threads in Midschool which seems to suggest they were brought out around that time.  Definitely more of a mid-school hub than an old school product.
