i just think it goes to show what utter contempt haro holds bmx in,

we're not talking about bob haro here either, that fooker is a genuine legend and is nothing to do with the name "haro bikes" anymore,

its a cheap shot at a retro bike,

ffs SE racing has built a whole range around the retro flavour, ok theyre not amazing bikes but theyre damn good,

skyway seem to have done a decent job of it too,

i keep trying to imagine that haro thing with some decent parts on it and a little thought put into the build but why would anyone bother?
it's like they didnt give a shit about the frame-fork-bar kit and that somehow de-values the thing from the word go,

i'll say this for the retro quad though, check the geometry, its pitched perfectly at the right market,

mmm, I'm not sure about that Darker. They might be taking the piss with this mock-tudor POS, but their new race bikes are dialled. Whenever somebody starts a 'What bike should I buy my son?/What's the best stock race bike?' type of thread on bmxtalk, it's always Haro that gets mentioned along with Redline and Kuwahara. They've put a lot of effort into the new range and the bikes have good geometry and a good spec level. Theres even a niche-market 18" race bike, which to me shows a real commitment to putting bums on seats at grass roots level, and that can't be a bad thing. And all the range is good value for money. They may have got it badly wrong with this attempt at a retro bike, but who buys crap like that anyway? I'm not sure about their other products either, but in racing circles they've got a lot of support.
