lost frame?
« on: November 19, 2008, 08:06 AM »
Been tracking a frame i got from the states, cleared customs late last night and says a delivery attempt was made this morning at 5.43am. Yet no card has been left to say so or saying where i can collect it from. Frame was sent USPS and i've sent the seller an email asking if he can find out where it is. Should i be worried?

It's more likely at Parcelforce or on it's way there , those details are normally ahead of themselves . They will attempt delivery soon or send you invoice for VAT/tax firstly .

If it has been at customs for a while parcelforce will be writing to you requesting you pay the charges, if it sailed through chances are your ok.
what was the frame dude? (just being nosey)

I know someone that this has happened to a few times, he always ended up getting his stuff, but did have to pay some sort of charges. So if I was you i wouldn't worry about losing your frame, but brace yourself for the charge!!!!

Could be worse :daumenhoch:

In my experience it comes down to what the sender records on the customs declaration as to whether you pay charges.

Just had a 400 dollar frame from the states and the sender was cool and marked its value as 100 dollars on the declaration and i got no customs charges.

yeh i was expecting a lot more than that tbh, i was expecting nearer £80 or so. reckon i got away quite light on that one. only been caught out on a pair of wheels a couple of years ago but normally i usually get stuff fine from the US. Will try and get out there today to pick it up.
