« on: November 16, 2008, 10:01 PM »
Sorry peeps if this request has been posted many times before  ::)

I am wanting to date and find out what model  this DiamondBack I have just got my hands on....

What do I need to look for - number's where.... style details ect ect  ???

ANY HELP would be GREAT!  :)

I have been told its a `80's chick -and should find out more in the middle of the week  ;)

All I know at the moment is that  its got -
a Sugunio one piece crank,
black Aero saddle,
chrome Diamond back Turbo stem (a few knocks),
silver ali fluted seat post,
black Dice valve caps,
off white ODI mushroom grips,
black MX brake lever,
chrome Dia-Compe MX brake

Oh and I think the wheels look poo!  ;D

Just found out the serial number

2E0163 with a symbol that looks like a tennis ball  (so I will take it that this is a base ball!)

is there an easy way to work out the date form the serial number?

Well done with that, I was watching it too.

Silverstreak frame, but I couldn't quite make out the forks, do they have diamond cut outs?

The advertiser said it was used in the film Son of Rambow!

Post up some extra pics especially stem

Yea I am told The forks do have diamond shapes cut out just above the dropouts - although I will find out for sure when it arrives

The box section under the bb there is a large hole in the middle then two smaller ones side by side behind the middle hole -

Am I right by thinking a silver streak  has  them side by side and not diagonally - diagonally is the Viper??
