Haro Sport 06
« on: November 16, 2008, 08:40 AM »
I put a post in the wanted section for a 06 Haro Sport which has disappeared  :-\  anyway some of the posts were less than complimentary, All I'm after is a freestyle to have a play on at the local park.

I know sweet bugger all about new school bikes apart from cruisers :-) ..............................................I just like the look of the sport new school bike with an old school look  :daumenhoch: ???
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Good on you Pete for not being afraid to say you want an 06 Sport . some of the purists dislike them for reasons that are good ones to them.  The reason you want one is the best reason ...they look like the old classic , i have one and i love it to bits ..it might be in bits at the moment as most of it is being used for my Zippo /Master  restoration ,

There are always good examples of 06 versions on ebay for good prices .... Good Luck ,hope you get sorted .. Stay Rad

That's a lovely bike Nick. Wish I'd bought one when they were selling them for £90.

No probs Nick  ;)

I just want one for messing around on don't know how much they are going for seen a couple on the bay.....from 99p - £150 ??

I've always raced (BITD and for the last year) but really want to have a play in the local concrete park + there's a "mini park" at Warsop (Mansfield BMX track) the most freestyle I've ever done is a bunny hop or a table top..........

So at the ripe old age of 34 and 3/4 I thought I'd get a freestyle bmx and I just like the retro look, yes I know the purists don't like them but I ain't got a spare 2K to spend on a gen 1 to get foooked up and bent to buggery !!!!!! And like the O/S look of it...............

How much do they go for?

The sport is 100 times nicer than the new retro freestyler.

that's the sort of thing that got the original wanted thread removed dude.
I'm not saying that negative comments can't be helpful, but if you think it's not a good bike then explain why, and maybe
give the chap some pointers to some alternatives.

From what I can gather he want's an old school look but wants it to be quite cheap, sturdy and good to ride.

I think an 06 Haro will do him well for messing around in the park, they look well cool, but they are a bit on the weighty side.
get one, ride it, have fun. If he get's bitten by the bug he always move on to a new school ride.

I quite like them. Not the best bike ever but certainly not the worst for the money.

I want to touch ORB
