Thinking I might go up to Chicksands next Sunday as James and I enjoyed it so much last week. I know Keith Wilson is up for this so is anyone else up for joining us?? Spillers has his new Giant STP to play with so reckon he'll post up his interest here later. Details of Chicksands can be found here http://www.chicksandsbikepark.co.uk/index.php but it's not the easiest place in the world to find so we might need to meet up somewhere and convoy in. Humps

There`s not really any mud at Chicksands Mark, it`s a completely different surface to UKBike Park

You will love it Mark, it is the nuts. Like a BMX track but it is downhill so you don't have to pedal

Mark it's probably more like the surface at the Land of Nod. Lots of loamy soil fuelled by copius quantities of pine-needles. Drains well too. Awesome place, you'll enjoy it. And if Sam Pilgrim is there on his jump-bike doing the trails it's worth the fiver's day pass just to watch that guy ride!! Must remember to take a camera this time. Humps
PS: I see there's a BAD race on that day too - no intention of stopping anyone going there

No not this week Mark as she`s with her mum, but the kids are with me next week so I`m not sure weather I`ll be able to make next week, but if I can swing it I`ll be there

Just so happens that Travis is at a birthday party about 2 miles away from Chicksands sunday so we'll be there, & the kiddy who's party it is also rides there so he'll come too.

Had a text from Spillers to say he's in too. Flying Fox is up for it and I believe Relentless's George Roth will be there too. And East Kent's Roy Binks is a possibility too. Could be a good day. Must take the camera!! Humps

I can get there in 1 hour 15mins from Bexleyheath Lee, so it should be closer for you

Lee, this is the official site for Chicksands, might be some better directions on there: http://www.chicksandsbikepark.co.uk/

But if not, you just go up the A1, come off at Junction 10 (first exit) and drive straight for about 10-15 mins and you're there. Although everyone knows it as Chicksands, the official name of the wood it's in is Rowney Warren

I followed these and got totally lost. Added about 20 miles to my journey. I think Mike's route is best. I shall use the A1 next time, not the M1, and turn off at the junction which points towards Old Warden (The Shuttleworth Collection) and keep going straight alon that road after crossing the first roundabout. When it gets to a crossroads the car park for the jumps is directly opposite (NOT the main car park for Rowney Warren) and easily spotted by the Thai Food mobile food van - delicious by the way. Humps
